The amphibians of Costa Rica are some of the most unique and striking in the world, this Hourglass Tree Frog does not differ from this statement.
Frogs come in all shape and sizes and I hope some of the images in this page reveal the unique features of different species in Costa Rica.
A Masked Tree-frog perched just above a small epiphyte. I found this individual just along a stream in the foothill of Uvita de Osa.
I was incredibly lucky to have found one of the rarest frogs in Costa Rica, the Yellow striped Glass-frog. In a new area we went scouting for herps this individual was perched right next to a small stream.
With only 6 known localities, this was the 7th discovered.
I photographed these Dusty glass frogs on the Osa peninsula of Costa Rica. A research and myself found a creek which we surveyed most nights and one night found this stunning species right at the end.
Again I hope you enjoyed these images I will slowly add to.
Please contact for anymore information regarding the images.
The Emerald glass frog is a common species found in the Talamanca mountain range, during my time at Cloudbridge Nature Reserve I saw this species on multiple occasions.
